Medical Escort Transportation Driver
One day a month, for two to four hours you can make a caring difference in the life of a senior. As a volunteer, you will escort a senior to a medical appointment, wait in the office, and bring them home. Training provided.
Medical Escort Volunteer Coordinator
Not interested in driving, but still want to help? Dedicate two hours once a month for coordinating rides. LIFESPAN staff sends you scheduled appointments and contact information. You then contact your list of volunteer drivers and coordinate rides to medical appointments. Email is strongly suggested. Training provided.
Day Club Assistant
Assist the staff and host the members of Day Club by supporting such activities as current events, morning coffee, decorate for lunch and holidays, games or appropriate exercise. Volunteer will be asked to schedule a regular amount of time.
FIA Friends & Neighbors
In a one-to-one relationship, volunteers will assist with simple every day tasks such as filling out forms, grocery shopping, errands, reading and discussing, etc. Volunteer will determine the amount of time and level of commitment.
Lunch n? Learn Instructor
Retired professors and professionals offer classes in their area of expertise.
Entertainer
Share your talent at Lunch n? Learn luncheons or during Day Club. Can be individual or group.
Organizational Development
Volunteer to offer staff support, work in the LIFESPAN office, serve on our working Board of Directors or committee, raise funds for specific programs or projects, be creative ? call the LIFESPAN office at 404-237-7307 and ask for Laurie.
